Big Wool Tanti “Big Love” is 100% Wool. Big Love shawl design is inspired by "Tamata", form of votive offering used in ancient Hellenic tradition. They are metal plaques in shape of women, men, evil eyes, hearts, houses etc. and they symbolize the subject of prayer for which the plaque is offered. Big Wool Tanti “Into The Woods and Blues” is 100% Wool. Tanti's world mostly consists of animals and nature. First of all by her beloved dog Yufka, followed by horses, wilderness, islands, sea, fish, birds, trees, flowers. Her heart, mind and body always travels into the woods and blues! Big Wool Tanti “Island Life” is 100% Wool and represents Tanti's love and gratitude for Büyükada (Prinkipo) where Tanti’s home and studio is located. Her passion for island life may have started after watching the movie Blue Lagoon when she was little, who knows! The shawls are decorated with illustrations such as “Buddy” (or “Ado” as Tanti prefers to call him) the beloved dog of Büyükada with his stocky and muscular legs and of course the cats, crows, hedgehogs, the unique full moon of Aya Yorgi Hill, mimosas, peonies, seagulls, pine cones, bicycles and the “Splendid Dudes” representing the domes of Büyükada’s iconic hotel “The Splendid Palace”. These shawls are designed for everyone who love island life as much as Tanti does!
